Director of Sales & Events

We are seeking a results-oriented sales leader with a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry to lead our dynamic sales team. As the driving force behind our hotel's revenue generation efforts, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to maximize profitability and market share.

About the Role
  • You will identify key market segments, cultivate relationships with high-value clients, and secure lucrative business opportunities.
  • You will provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meet or exceed rooms/food & beverage revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable win-win selling approach.
  2. Target results-oriented, high-revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with department budget and marketing plan.
  3. Capture competitor's accounts through networking, research, and reader board surveys in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 20-35 qualified outside sales calls weekly.
  • A bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related major preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have hotel sales and marketing experience in a leadership role.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet hotel needs that include nights, weekends & holidays, and be on-call as needed.

Compensation Package:

$70,000 - $80,000 per year. Full-time team members receive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), STD, LTD, paid holiday, vacation, personal & sick time, lean management training, and numerous other employee discount benefits through our HR provider LL Roberts.
