Pay Range:
$63,000 - $103,800.00 / year

Position Overview:
UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is set to unveil a cutting-edge inpatient rehabilitation facility.

This new establishment will feature 78 rehabilitation beds equipped with the latest technology, all aimed at enhancing functional activities for patients.

Our dedicated team of therapists operates in a collaborative and dynamic environment, delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's recovery journey.

We prioritize the professional growth of our clinicians by providing mentorship and various development opportunities that elevate our care standards.

Additionally, UAB Medicine covers the expenses for obtaining specific professional certifications.

As a recognized center for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model Systems, UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center offers a range of therapies including physical, occupational, speech, recreational, and music therapy.

Role Responsibilities:
To assess, diagnose, and treat individuals facing communication challenges, including issues related to speech, language fluency, and swallowing disorders. To design and implement therapeutic programs aimed at enhancing speech and language development.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is mandatory. Work experience cannot substitute for this educational requirement. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA). Completion of a clinical fellowship and attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence within the designated timeframe is required. Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is also necessary.
