Job Title: Musculoskeletal Imaging Section Chief

Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Radiology Department is seeking an experienced radiologist to serve as Section Chief for our Musculoskeletal Radiology Team. This is an opportunity to lead a team of subspecialized radiologists to build upon and grow our musculoskeletal imaging services.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement goals, process improvement initiatives, workflows, and growth plans for the Musculoskeletal Section.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and mentor physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellows.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care and exceptional patient experience.
  • Represent the section at departmental, hospital, and system-level meetings.
  • Oversee and continue strong collaborative efforts with orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services.
  • Drive process improvement, clinical integration, and adoption of evidence-based practices.
  • Oversee quality, safety, education, research, and fellowship programs.
  • Participate actively in the department's clinical and academic leadership team.
About the Department:

The Department of Radiology is recognized as a forward-thinking team that continues to expand with a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. MCW Radiology offers a hybrid model that allows faculty to read and work in both the academic and community settings.

The Department of Radiology provides post-graduate fellowships, diagnostic radiology residency, interventional radiology residency, medical physics residency, and elective clinical rotations for medical students and physician associate students.

The Department of Radiology currently has and is willing to explore creative staffing opportunities to meet our growing demand.

Collaboration is the foundation for how we work within our department and with others across the organization. Our Radiology team includes over 110 clinical faculty radiologists, 11 imaging science faculty, 15 instructors/fellows, 45 residents, 16 advanced practice providers, and 69 support staff.

The position requires a Board Certified/Eligible radiologist, who has completed a Musculoskeletal Fellowship program, is eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin, and has at least 5 years' experience as an MSK radiologist.

The individual should demonstrate strong clinical, operational, and people leadership experience, including excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

This leadership role requires regular and consistent onsite presence.
