Job Summary:

As an MRI Technologist I at Advocate Health, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
• Maintain accurate records of patient imaging procedures and results
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements:

• Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 2 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months
• Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology
• No experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and magnetic safety
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate computer skills
