Job Title: Staff Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer

Burns & McDonnell is a leading engineering, architecture, and construction company with a strong presence in the Mission Critical industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Staff CFD Engineer will lead the creation and development of CFD design models, working closely with the project team to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of CFD concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead CFD analysis of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used CFD concepts, practices, and procedures within the CFD services industry
  • Develop and implement CFD models to optimize design solutions
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients
  • Ensure customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred
  • Minimum 3 years related professional experience in CFD analysis preferred
  • Experience in the Mission Critical industry is preferred
