Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer or Computer Scientist to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Practice in New York. As a key member of our team, you will work on a wide range of projects, from physical analysis to software and data analysis, to provide scientific and engineering solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering and computer science analyses related to ongoing Exponent work
- Develop solutions to challenging technical problems using deep expertise in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Perform numerical analysis, modeling, and simulation activities to support engineering goals
- Present technical results and solutions to a diverse audience through verbal, written, and interactive communication
- Prepare technical proposals, pursue business developments, and expand the range of software-related services Exponent provides to clients
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Understanding of investigative analysis for troubleshooting technical issues and solving technical challenges
- Experience with at least one common programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar
- Experience with numerical analysis, modeling, finite element analysis, and/or simulation of devices, systems, and/or networks
- Technical experience with electronics, device hardware, robotics, semiconductors, optics, power systems, or measurement instrumentation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to gather information and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and related industry
