Customer Service:

Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant in a hospital, skilled nursing, or similar setting.Current enrollment in an accredited RN or LVN program may substitute for one year of experience.Current employees may have this experience requirement waived.Education:
State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an accredited RN or LVN program.Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification.Additional Requirements:
Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant may be required as specified by the organization.This position involves considerable walking, standing, moderate lifting, and handling emergencies within the scope of practice.Effective communication skills appropriate to the developmental stage of the patient are essential.Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Modules 1-4 is required for Family Centered Care.Preferred Qualifications:
Some positions may require bilingual Spanish skills on a case-by-case basis. Flexibility to float to other areas within competency may be expected. Willingness to learn new computer systems is advantageous.Notes:
This is an on-call position with variable days and hours.
