Salary

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on education and experience. Bonus opportunities for additional work outside of contractual hours.


Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the clinical team to provide a structured, safe, and nurturing environment for residents. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating resident progress notes, Medication Administration Record, and other resident file notes to aid the clinical team in developing treatment plans.
  • Transporting residents to and from support groups, medical appointments, and recreational activities.
  • Providing guidance, support, and assurance to residents throughout their treatment and daily activities.
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living based on their individual needs.
  • Monitoring residents' behavior and conducting safety rounds throughout the facility every 15 minutes.
  • Participating in weekly onsite training and biweekly clinical supervision.
  • Leading group activities to assist residents in sober living, life skills, and coping skills.
  • Assisting residents in accessing medical, behavioral, and social services.
  • Helping residents prepare meals and understand nutritional choices based on the provided meal plan.
  • Assisting residents in administering medication and maintaining corresponding records.
  • Supporting residents in navigating community resources to achieve self-sufficiency.
  • Effective communication with team members and the Administrator to ensure consistent program implementation.
  • Timely clock-in and out daily to reflect hours worked.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to type at 25 net words per minute.
  • Familiarity with modern office equipment and software.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • A valid and current driver's license.
  • A Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • A copy of your social security card.
  • A TB test (if older than six months).
  • A working vehicle, 39-month MVD record, and car insurance.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
