Job Summary:
Responsible for performing all aspects of general, neuro, and interventional radiography and computerized tomography studies in an emergency room setting with little or no supervision. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed and performs a variety of tasks that require a high degree of skill and autonomy.
The ideal candidate will have six months of radiology experience, completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, and certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Computed Tomography (CT) technologist. National certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and/or nuclear medicine and PET
- Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures
