Shipping Operations Coordinator Job Description

As a Shipping Operations Coordinator at Amazon Services LLC, you will be integral to our logistics network, ensuring the efficient management of our shipping activities. Your primary duty will be to oversee departmental functions effectively, contributing to our goal of delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with various freight companies and their representatives
  • Utilize logistics software to dispatch and monitor shipments
  • Coordinate trailer assignments to loading docks and cross-docking areas
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies and issues
  • Optimize trailer usage to manage transportation expenses
  • Ensure timely performance at loading docks
  • Update staging documentation and allocate necessary resources
  • Supervise load flow management
  • Track load performance metrics
  • Collaborate with transportation teams
  • Ensure adherence to shipping regulations
  • Implement safety protocols and measures
  • Train team members and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Engage in safety programs
  • Report workplace injuries to management
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work flexible hours and lift items weighing up to 49 pounds
  • Availability for full-time work
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in training or instructional roles
  • Willingness to work varied shifts
