Position Overview:
The Concessions Bartender plays a vital role in providing exceptional beverage service, encompassing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Consistent attendance and availability for scheduled events are essential.

Compensation:
This role offers an hourly wage of $12 and is eligible for tips.

Benefits for Part-Time Roles:
Eligible employees can participate in a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit exemplary guest service, maintaining professional interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Adhere to bar pre-shift notes and menus to deliver service as outlined.
  • Serve beverages in compliance with all applicable regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Acquire knowledge of various beverage options, including beers, wines, and spirits, to effectively upsell products.
  • Ensure responsible pouring practices in line with company standards.
  • Verify guest identification to confirm compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchases.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, including implementing cut-off procedures when necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Manage intoxicated guest situations with professionalism, seeking assistance from management or security when needed.
  • Request additional supplies or restock items as necessary.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining responsibility for the bar's cash bank.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, ensuring all bar equipment is properly cared for.
  • Perform additional duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing storage areas as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient cash handling skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.
