Job Overview

Position: Residential Safety Coordinator

Work Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours per week, including weekends from 12 PM to 12 AM

Supervisor: Area Manager

Salary: Competitive hourly wage

Employee Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and sick leave. Employees earn 116 hours of vacation in the first year, along with 11 paid holidays (prorated for part-time employees).

Employment Type: Non-exempt position, part of a union represented by Local 8 of the Office of Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a secure, clean, and tranquil environment for residents.
  2. Serve as the primary onsite presence at the reception area, overseeing building activities through security monitoring systems.
  3. Implement and uphold building regulations and guest protocols.
  4. Observe and document individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  5. Inspect and maintain the condition of communal areas, including entryways, hallways, restrooms, and community spaces.
  6. Address resident inquiries and concerns regarding building operations.
  7. React promptly to emergencies, being available on-call and conducting regular safety checks. Contact emergency services when necessary and inform management of any incidents or safety issues.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of one year of experience in property security.
  2. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  3. Experience in working with low-income populations.
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
