Job Title: Residential Construction Superintendent

RW Anderson Homes is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to lead our construction team.

About the Role:

The Residential Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. This includes coordinating with subcontractors, managing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe job site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all construction work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and material procurement to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage onsite labor and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the project manager to develop and deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Review subcontracted scopes of work and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement.
  • Oversee quality control, code compliance, and inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site and ensure that company presentation standards are met.
  • Ensure that safety and job site security protocols are followed.
  • Maintain daily job logs and communicate regularly with the project manager.
  • Participate in weekly customer site meetings and help with end-of-month budget reconciliation.
  • Attend monthly project management training and other company events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on construction experience in residential homebuilding.
  • High level of proficiency in maintaining and adhering to a project schedule.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to read the crowd.
  • Exceptional people skills and a warm, disarming nature.
  • Highly organized, detailed, and systems-minded.
  • High level of drive and productivity.
  • Comfortable with holding people accountable and facing conflict head-on when needed.
