Residential Construction Superintendent Job Description

RW Anderson Homes is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to lead our construction process from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors and material procurement according to project plans and specifications.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of onsite laborers, employees, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with project managers to develop and deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Review and manage subcontracted scopes of work, set expectations, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement.
  • Ensure quality control, code compliance, and inspections are conducted throughout the project.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to company presentation standards.
  • Ensure safety and job site security protocols are followed.
  • Attend safety meetings and maintain daily job logs.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, owners, and design teams.
  • Participate in weekly customer site meetings and help with end-of-month budget reconciliation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on construction experience, with a focus on residential homebuilding.
  • High level of proficiency in maintaining and adhering to a project schedule.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to hold people accountable and face conflict head-on when needed.
