Job Overview

The Medicaid Application Specialist will be responsible for managing the submission of Medicaid and long-term care applications. This is a remote, full-time position that requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

You will work under the supervision of the Application Team Manager, collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient application process.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process Medicaid and long-term care applications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and government agencies.
  • Track application status and provide timely updates.
  • Research and stay informed about relevant regulations and eligibility requirements.
  • Advocate for clients during appeals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional office setting or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid and/or long-term care applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Google Suite products and document management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional background in the Medicaid long-term care industry.
  • Hands-on case management experience.
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment, using cloud-based productivity tools.
  • Experience using a CRM or similar project management database.
