Position Details

Hybrid Work Model - 3 days in the office

Outstanding Benefits -- Full Company Coverage

Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 plus Bonuses

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and oversee the preparation and evaluation of federal, state, trust, estate, gift, and partnership tax filings.
  • Ensure precise and timely submission of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns along with other business-related documentation.
  • Formulate and execute strategic tax planning for all applicable federal and state taxes.
  • Direct team members in preparing components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax filings.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits effectively.
  • Maintain tax balances on the general ledger.
  • Prepare and assess tax calculations, estimates, and reports, collaborating with finance, tax, legal, and accounting teams.
  • Oversee internal and external tax reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Advise management on the implications of new legislation on tax obligations.
  • Collaborate with tax, finance, audit, and IT teams on corporate initiatives to enhance taxation efficiency.
  • Identify potential tax savings in acquisition scenarios.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's in Taxation, LL.M. in Taxation, or JD is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in federal and state tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research.
  • Familiarity with CCH tax research software or similar tools.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is mandatory.
  • Previous experience as a Tax Senior or Tax Manager is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax returns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a focus on building strong client relationships.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and knowledgeable in relevant software (e.g., TurboTax).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
