Job Title: Tax Manager

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our client's growing Public Accounting Firm. As a Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating tax compliance, tax planning, and tax strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, trust, estate, gift, and partnership tax returns.
  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
  • Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals and purpose partnering with country, regional, and corporate finance, tax, legal entities, and accounting teams.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external tax reporting and forecasting.
  • Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
  • Cooperate with tax, finance, audit, and IT staff on corporate projects to ensure optimal efficiency of taxation.
  • Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's in Taxation, LL.M. in Taxation, or JD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal and state tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
  • Experience with CCH tax research software or equivalent.
  • CPA OR Enrolled Agent certification is required.
  • Experience as a Tax Senior or Tax Manager required.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. TurboTax).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
