Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Reef Technology Inc. in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our kitchen operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up stations with all necessary supplies and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly to ensure food quality and safety.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and follow proper cooking techniques for all dishes.
  • Ensure food quality and timeliness, and practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to company and state regulations.
  • Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations and standards, and maintain a positive and respectful approach with everyone.
  • Report all unsafe working conditions, operational needs, and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in need of repair to management.

Requirements

  • Positive demeanor and leadership skills.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of COGS and inventory management.
  • Previous cooking and management experience, with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience.
  • Servesafe certification and open availability.
  • Team-player, reliability, integrity, and operational knowledge of hospitality equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, perform under pressure, and execute assigned tasks with accuracy and speed.

Working Conditions

Must be comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise, without the use of a private office. Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism, and collaboration. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
