We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biologist & Project Manager to join our team in southern California. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale maintenance actions to complex habitat restoration projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have significant experience working on various project types, with a strong background in CEQA biological resources analysis and technical writing. They will be responsible for preparing applications for CDFW CESA Incidental Take Permits, supporting the development of FESA Section 10 Habitat Conservation Plans, and supervising a team of environmental professionals.

Our Biology Team includes biologists, restoration ecologists, permitting specialists, conservation biologists, and environmental scientists who provide expertise for many municipalities throughout southern California. We value collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

What You Will Do

">

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will provide mentorship and support to junior staff, contribute to proposal writing, and engage with clients and stakeholders.

Benefits

">

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $115,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, annual allocations of company share through our ESOP, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional environmental experience
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, natural resources, biology, or related field
  • CEQA biological resources analysis & technical writing experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Environmental Business Development experience
