Job Title: Quarterly Adjunct Lecturer - Costume Shop Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Salary Range: $1,125

Pay Frequency: Hourly

Purpose: The Department of Theatre and Dance at Santa Clara University seeks applicants for a Quarterly Adjunct Lecturer (non-tenure track) position to teach a course in Rehearsal and Performance. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the costume shop according to a schedule coordinated with the Costume Shop Manager, generally from 1-5 pm, three days a week, for approximately 12 hours/week.
  • Assist the Costume Shop Manager in teaching costume construction skills to student work crew.
  • Perform costume construction tasks as coordinated by the Costume Shop Manager.
  • Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as appropriate, as may be requested by the Chair of the Department.

Course Information: THTR 29/129 Rehearsal and Performance: serve as Costume Shop Assistant to help Costume Shop Manager both teach student work crew costume construction skills and create costumes for theatrical productions.

Special Instructions: This position does not require any service duties. You may be invited, but not required, to attend department meetings or activities.
