Job Summary:
Pape' Kenworth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Technician to join our team in Santa Maria. As a key member of our shop, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks to support our customers and maximize their uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks, including electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Direct the work of other technicians and lead the shift in the Foreman's absence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Completion of the Kenworth Engine Specialist training track and enrollment in the Kenworth Master Tech program.
- Self-motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.
