City Experiences is in search of a Mixologist for our City Cruises operation in Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic, and exemplify City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The successful Mixologist will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for guests, earning positive feedback from supervisors and colleagues, and demonstrating efficiency in their responsibilities. Performance metrics will include drink ticket processing times, guest satisfaction ratings, and management assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding hospitality to guests and colleagues as outlined in Our Service System (OSS).
  • Precisely follow beverage recipes; possess comprehensive knowledge of all drink offerings and pricing.
  • Ensure timely and consistent bar service to patrons and staff throughout the cruise.
  • Prepare and dismantle the bar area - stock and replenish supplies according to established standards, and maintain cleanliness in line with operational protocols.
  • Uphold the cleanliness and safety of the bar and communal areas, including washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Accurately process guest transactions; input orders into the point-of-sale system, handle payments, and return change appropriately.
  • Provide guests with information regarding beverage and food options, entertainment, cruise routes, and points of interest.
  • Be punctual and ready to start work at the scheduled time.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of bartending experience is necessary.
  • An enthusiastic and lively personality is essential.
  • Ability to effectively communicate written and verbal information to guests and team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of beverage recipes is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • A strong service orientation is crucial - actively seeking ways to assist others.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift heavy items such as liquor boxes and ice bins.
  • Responsible for cash handling and maintaining the bar till.
  • Availability to work on major holidays is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
