The ideal candidate will be a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented individual who excels at multitasking. This role is centered around managing and coordinating the intake process, which includes handling communications with potential clients. There are opportunities for increased legal responsibilities for those who demonstrate proficiency and capability.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting client intake through various communication channels, serving as the primary contact for new and prospective clients.
- Overseeing the entire intake process, ensuring all pending intakes are organized, tracked, and prepared for attorney review.
- Collecting, reviewing, and organizing essential case/client information, including files, records, and multimedia evidence.
- Managing requests for case records, including FOIA, CORA, CCJRA, and medical records.
- Providing clients with updates on their cases and demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Communicating professionally with attorneys, court clerks, and judicial chambers regarding case requirements.
- Exhibiting resourcefulness and independence in problem-solving.
- Utilizing technology proficiently, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
While experience in a law firm setting is preferred, we welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds who possess transferable skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for civil rights advocacy. We seek a reliable team member who will take on significant responsibilities within our firm.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 annually, based on experience, along with performance bonuses. We offer a stipend for health insurance benefits, flexible time off, and a hybrid work environment. A parking stipend is also available for those who require it.
