About the Role

The NA Fresh Finance Manager - Retail Operations is a key position within the Grocery Finance organization, dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel, and new physical store formats across Amazon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon.
  • Deliver weekly/monthly financial close, using financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets, and output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
  • Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
  • Drive accountability across category teams by building and leading mechanisms to review vendor level performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Create scalable processes and tools leading to successful annual vendor negotiations.
  • Communicate findings in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.
  • Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members, seeking and leveraging diverse perspectives in all activities.
  • Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience, as well as 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
