Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Clinical Unit Supervisor for our Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing care unit. As a Clinical Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized patient-centered care, while also managing the unit's operations and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and direct the delivery of patient care, ensuring that it is safe, effective, and efficient.
  • Assign and coordinate the work of nursing staff, including delegating tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement unit-specific policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care goals and improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address them.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing, with a minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience.
  • Current California Nursing license
  • Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
  • Basic EKG Competence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
