Quality Manager Job Description

New Flyer, a leading bus manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and enhance quality assurance processes across all production stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
  • Lead the quality assurance team to conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to rectify quality issues and enhance production processes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action plans for non-conformance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, suppliers, and customers regarding quality-related matters.
  • Ensure quality control measures align with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the transportation or heavy-duty vehicle industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and implementation of quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret quality data.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
