Job Summary

New Flyer, a leading manufacturer of buses, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and enhance quality assurance processes across all production stages. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems: Create and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Lead Quality Assurance Team: Lead the quality assurance team to conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Analyze Quality Data: Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering Teams: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to rectify quality issues and enhance production processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures to ensure a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis: Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action plans for non-conformance issues to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with senior management, suppliers, and customers regarding quality-related matters to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure Quality Control Measures: Ensure that quality control measures align with customer requirements and industry standards to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the organization to ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the transportation or heavy-duty vehicle industry.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001: Experience with ISO 9001 standards and implementation of quality management systems.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret quality data.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills to lead the quality assurance team.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Software: Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
