The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is currently in search of a Business Analyst within the Office of Enterprise Portfolio Management.

The GTA is responsible for overseeing the provision of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to over 1,200 state and local government entities. These IT infrastructure services include mainframes, servers, service desk support, end-user computing, disaster recovery, and security. Managed network services cover the state's wide and local area networks, voice communication, cabling, and conferencing solutions.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst (BA) will act as a vital connector between Information Technology (IT) teams, data collection units, and business partners. This position will concentrate on utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI to analyze business requirements and data analytics to enhance processes, products, services, and software through data examination. The BA is tasked with gathering, refining, detailing, testing, and documenting requirements in a manner that is beneficial to business stakeholders while also being actionable for software development or data management teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Assist in developing testing strategies, plans, and cases to guarantee high-quality software delivery. Collaborate closely with developers and business clients to ensure systems align with business needs.

·Examine Dynamics 365 and other datasets to identify trends and conduct root cause analyses.

·Deliver actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency.

·Create and improve complex reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI. Employ DAX for custom calculations and implement Row-level Security for data protection. Optimize data models for enhanced performance and accuracy.

·Utilize Power Pages to design, manage, and publish secure websites, improving user engagement and accessibility.

·Act as the primary analyst for Dynamics 365, configuring and customizing it to fulfill business requirements. Oversee Dynamics 365 projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.

·Leverage data-driven insights to recommend modifications to business processes to boost effectiveness and efficiency.

·Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and IT/data teams to ensure clarity and mutual understanding.

·Generate detailed reports and presentations that interpret data and propose solutions.

·Maintain clear and useful documentation for all stakeholders.

·Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to meet business needs.

·Participate in documentation reviews and analyses to support recommendations.

·Ensure compliance with data handling regulations and best practices.

·Demonstrated ability to manage and complete complex projects on schedule, with attention to detail and alignment with business objectives.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution AND Two years of experience pertinent to the area of assignment.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

(Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience):

·Master's degree or higher in Data Science, Data Information, Data Analytics, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.

·Proficiency in at least one of the following areas with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Dynamics 365, Power BI, or Power Platforms.

·Possession of a certification in one of the following: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Data Analytics Certification (CBDA), Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification (MB-910), or Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), and/or Microsoft Certified Power Platform (PL-900).

·Experience working with the State of Georgia or other state government entities.

·Experience with Portfolio / Project Management applications.

·Experience in private sector consulting.

COMPENSATION/WORKER TYPE/ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Hiring Salary: *$53,100-67,

Worker Type: Hybrid – State of Georgia Remote Work Option
