As a Repair Development Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting the flow of production parts and repairs, collaborating with other departments to ensure our products and services meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the transition of parts and technical data between production facilities.
  • Work independently in an offsite location, acting as a liaison between different teams of engineers and production leaders.
  • Provide technical expertise and experience necessary to make airworthiness engineering decisions regarding major repair design activities.
  • Compile and analyze data on repairs; develop measures of performance on all repair processes.
  • Support the production development group activity in modifying and refining existing repair schemes to eliminate and/or reduce the number of rejects occurring.
  • Provide technical training support or mentoring for repair development and metallurgical analysis.
  • Direct acquisition of equipment as required to meet repair development objectives.
  • Establish and monitor equipment safety issues.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
  • Will travel 10-15% annually to other sites as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong project management skills.
  • University degree in materials science, mechanical engineering or metallurgy.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
  • Experience in an aerospace engineering environment.
  • Fully conversant with testing methods and experiment design to meet airworthiness compliance program requirements.
