Job Overview

General Purpose and Scope:
This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of post-closing processes. The individual will manage various tasks related to the review of loan files, document transfers, and overall support within the post-closing division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely acquisition of outstanding closing packages.
  • Uploading closing documents into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Meticulously reviewing closing documents against an investor-specific checklist for precision.
  • Preparing mortgage assignment documents for execution.
  • Delivering and uploading finalized loan files to investors.
  • Addressing investor conditions until the loan is purchased.
  • Communicating with attorneys and borrowers regarding missing or corrected documentation.
  • Managing requests and bills related to trailing documents from investors.
  • Conducting searches on town and county websites for recorded documents.
  • Uploading trailing documents to investor platforms and the Encompass system.
  • Assisting with additional departmental tasks as required, including scanning, filing, and purging original closing packages.

  • Ability to perform web searches on municipal and state websites.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant office experience or training.
  • Understanding of banking regulations such as Regulation Z, RESPA, and HMDA is beneficial.

Certifications:

  • Notary Public certification from the CT Secretary of State is a plus.
  • Certification as a MER Signing Officer is advantageous.

Work Schedule:
This position typically operates Monday through Friday, with potential overtime as needed to meet service level agreements.
