Job Summary

Pekin Public Schools District 108 is seeking a highly skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our Special Services team. As a Speech/Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in students. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement strategies to support students with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Appropriate State of Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech & Language Pathologist endorsement
  • Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation License - Speech & Language Pathologist
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Experience working with students with communication and swallowing disorders
Working Conditions

The Speech/Language Pathologist will work in a school setting, providing services to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and other locations as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
