Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our team at Innovance, a leading contract manufacturer specializing in complex projects. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality, precision parts using cutting torches, grinders, and other metalworking equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize mig, tig, robotic, and gas welding processes to fabricate or repair products according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders.
  • Select welding electrodes for specific welds to ensure penetration and fusion of base and filler metals.
  • Weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products, working in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
  • Work with close supervision and rely on blueprints and fixtures to meet cosmetic specs to Lou-Rich or any internal or external customer requirements.
  • Perform assignments in accordance with written quality procedures and ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
Requirements
  • The welder is required to be on their feet for up to twelve hours using their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear around machinery.
  • The welder must be capable of lifting and moving up to 15 pounds; frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on optical devices.
  • Individuals will work near moving mechanical parts of machinery and electrically activated devices.
  • Individuals are occasionally exposed to airborne particles.
  • Perform math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Knowledge of decimals, fractions, and metric/English conversions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities that result in reducing variation and waste in the manufacturing process.
Classifications

This is an entry-level welder position that requires close supervision and relies on blueprints and fixtures to meet cosmetic specs to Lou-Rich or any internal or external customer requirements.

More advanced welding includes the operating of two types of welding equipment and passing internal leak tests within Lou-Rich testing capacity.

Certified welders would weld with a variety of equipment, mig, tig or gas, and may also be required to fabricate parts with no fixtures but have access to prints.
