Unified Communications Operations Lead

The Opportunity:

Booz Allen is seeking a Unified Communications (UC) Operations Lead to oversee our global voice, video, and meeting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage a team responsible for UC hardware, applications, and user support for all staff. This role requires extensive experience in UC and Information Technology (IT), including VoIP, teleconferencing, video teleconferencing (VTC), and collaboration technology support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team focused on UC solutions, ensuring effective support and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide technical insights on UC technologies throughout project lifecycles.
  • Work closely with the UC team and IT engineers to diagnose and resolve user issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for service delivery and user experience.
  • Facilitate training opportunities to enhance team skills and maintain industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience leading technical support teams, including Tier I and II resources.
  • 5+ years in customer service roles, particularly with executive-level support.
  • 5+ years of experience with UC communications solutions, including voice, video, and meetings.
  • 5+ years of real-time video support experience, including streaming and VTC.
  • 5+ years of experience with UC/AV hardware, specifically Cisco and Microsoft products.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • 2+ years of experience using enterprise ticketing systems.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and resolve issues effectively.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Cisco CUCM or similar VoIP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams meetings and event support.
  • Background in technical project management for large-scale initiatives.
