Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, as well as providing guidance and support to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Firm Policies: Demonstrate a deep understanding of and adherence to our firm's policies and procedures, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Supervision and Performance Evaluation: Utilize your technical expertise to supervise and evaluate the performance of staff and associate accountants, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Client Relationships: Develop strong client relationships and foster client loyalty by providing exceptional service and support, ensuring that clients receive timely and accurate financial information.
  • Tax Expertise: Build expertise in relevant IRS sections and regulations, staying up-to-date on changes and developments in tax law to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Client Correspondence: Prepare routine client correspondence for partner approval, ensuring that all communications are professional and accurate.
  • Tax Return Supervision: Oversee tax return preparation engagements, ensuring that all returns are accurately prepared and submitted on time.
  • Audit Engagement Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and supervise various phases of routine audit engagements, including preparation, evaluation, and drafting of financial statements, reports, and management letters.
  • Budget Management: Monitor time budgets to ensure efficient project management, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting: A degree in accounting is required, with a strong background in tax, audit, and accounting principles.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred: A CPA certification is preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in accounting and taxation.
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting: A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting is required, with a strong background in tax, audit, and accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to work independently: The ability to work independently and make critical decisions is essential, as well as the ability to manage complex engagements.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills: Strong leadership and communication skills are required, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve their best.
  • Proficiency in tax software and accounting software: Proficiency in tax software and accounting software is required, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
