Job Title: Junior Salvage Naval Architect

Resolve Marine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Salvage Naval Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support for emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical plans, drawings, and diagrams to support operations
  • Perform initial emergency response surveys, towing plans, and calculations
  • Develop 3D hull models for use in stability software
  • Use stability software and hydrostatics information to develop ground reactions, ballast/cargo discharge requirements, and estimate freeing force requirements
  • Support emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal jobs by developing engineering plans, arrangements, and drawings
  • Work with classification societies and flag states regarding maintenance and modifications to Resolve Marine's floating assets
  • Develop drawings and/or plans for modifications to Resolve Marine's floating assets
  • Perform structural calculations using first principle and advanced analysis
  • Develop CAD drawings and designs for vessel modifications, vessel repairs, outfitting, and site plans
  • Develop and engineer heavy lift and rigging arrangements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding processes and production design
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain EIT certification in Florida
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of hydrostatic calculations, GHS software, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Microsoft Word and Excel
Travel Requirements:

Up to 75% travel is required for this position. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
