Position Overview

As a Senior Fullstack Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology stack.


This position requires a full-time on-site presence for the initial months due to project demands. Post this period, flexibility is available, including one fixed and one flexible remote day per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop resilient, scalable backend systems and APIs.
  • Create and implement service-oriented solutions within Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and enhance queries, schemas, and indexes.
  • Develop or refine algorithms for data processing, transformation, and validation.
  • Integrate with other enterprise systems using industry-standard integration technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure high-quality code that adheres to security and performance standards.
  • Follow coding standards, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, ensuring timely bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Propose technical solutions and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Engage in the enhancement of frontend components.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product owners, other developers) to understand requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, Java advancements, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge within the team and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following:
  • 10+ years of experience in Java development (Java 18+).
  • Strong proficiency with the Spring framework, including familiarity with Spring Security.
  • Experience with reporting libraries (e.g., Jasper) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in SQL; experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Experience with HTTP REST APIs and general networking concepts.
  • Good understanding of modern front-end technologies; Angular experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Docker; Kubernetes experience is preferred.
  • Solid systems skills (Linux) are a plus.
  • Experience delivering within an agile environment using Scrum.
  • Familiarity with source code management using Git.
  • Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo).
  • Methodical, autonomous, a quick learner, and a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in French and/or English.
  • EPFL diploma or equivalent.
