The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a leading healthcare nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and providing quality care to those affected by the disease. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Area Director to lead our regional efforts and drive our mission forward.
Job Summary:The Area Director will provide strategic leadership and direction for their assigned chapters, ensuring the successful achievement of regional financial goals and growth. This role will lead and facilitate collaboration, communication, staff and volunteer development, and support assigned chapters to further the organization's overall goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership guidance and direction for assigned chapters in collaboration with the Senior Director, Field Management and chapter leaders.
- Develop and manage staff and volunteers in fundraising, event, and program execution for all chapter locations within the team.
- Effectively resolve issues with staff, volunteers, and donors in partnership with national partners.
- Foster innovation in launching new programs, increasing volunteer engagement, and executing revenue generation.
- Recruit, cultivate, and nurture corporate sponsors, volunteers, community members, and donors.
- Remain knowledgeable about market potential and recommend and implement short and long-term goals to effectively lead assigned chapters.
- Ensure education about CFF programs and initiatives for volunteers, donors, prospective volunteers, and other community members.
- Four-year college degree required or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
- Minimum of 12 years of related non-profit experience and seven years of staff management/supervisory or leadership experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, including strong collaboration across departments, chapters, regions, and with volunteers.
- Demonstrated successes in financial ability to efficiently and effectively run a book of business.
- Strong interpersonal skills, embraces diversity and models the values of the organization.
