The Electrophysiology Nurse Manager is a key leadership position at Heart Hospital of Austin, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the EP Lab. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage of the department.
- Oversee the work schedule for the EP Lab, ensuring adequate staffing on a daily basis.
- Interview and make recommendations for personnel decisions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Plan and direct staff activities, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards of care and observe facility conditions to address potential problems.
- Participate in process improvement activities and coordinate with other departments on worker compensation claims and risk management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact required upon hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience.
- 3+ years of EP lab experience required.
