Electronic Banking Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Banking Specialist to join our team at Arrow Financial Corporation. As an Electronic Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and resolving discrepancies in customer data. You will also be dealing directly with outside companies, agencies, and financial institutions to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Additionally, you will provide service to customers, operational support to the branches, and assist the Senior Specialist with coordinating work tasks.

About the Position

This position is in office and can sit in either our Colonie or Glens Falls Office Locations. All training will be at our Glens Falls, New York location. As an Electronic Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Research, report, and provide resolution to exceptions in a timely manner according to department policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all VISA disputes meeting department guidelines.
  • Review data for proper authorizations and compliance and take action as appropriate.
  • Update, modify, and correct data meeting the department's goals and objectives while following policies and procedures.
  • Provide consistent and outstanding customer service by anticipating and reacting to internal and external customer needs.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 years prior banking experience with expanded knowledge of banking regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, (Spanish and English bilingual a plus); comfortable speaking with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Basic knowledge of NACHA rules preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines.
