Specimen Processing Specialist

The Specimen Processing Specialist is responsible for providing general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department. This role requires a strong data entry background and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and speed, reaching 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting.
- Operate equipment such as imaging and microfilming machines.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other departments.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of computers and laboratory testing principles.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a biohazard environment and adapt to changing priorities.
