Laboratory Specimen Processor I

Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specimen Processor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing duties related to accessioning and data entry with a high degree of proficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process and label specimens for delivery to the appropriate area(s)
- Examine samples for accuracy and other requirements
- Enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and/or other specimen tracking system
- Make internal or external contact to resolve patient demographic issues or discrepancies
- Complete correction requests as needed
- Adhere to all Data Management policies and protocols
- Maintain quality control and quality assurance records as required
- Work closely with other lab associates to complete daily activities efficiently
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Specimen processing experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and comply with documents such as internal SOPs, operating and maintenance instructions, and company policies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- High level of proficiency with PC based software programs; strong database skills; 1 year of data entry experience preferred with strong typing skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time as necessary in the laboratory (4 or more hours)
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Physical dexterity sufficient to move body frequently around laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
