Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Assistant Controller to join our esteemed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the COO/CFO and contribute to various financial operations, including:

  • Overseeing all accounting functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
  • Assisting in the formulation of the budget and financial projections
  • Managing the cash flow planning process along with cash, investments, and asset management
  • Preparing and reviewing year-end documentation for external auditors related to financial statements and tax returns
  • Ensuring the implementation of robust internal controls, compliance with escrow regulations, and adherence to financial procedures, including the development and documentation of business processes
  • Supervising software systems to deliver timely and critical financial and operational insights
  • Managing Accounts Receivable and the collection process
  • Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the timely preparation and review of financial reports
  • Conducting research on technical accounting and tax issues for compliance purposes as necessary

Qualifications for Success:

  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and tax regulations
  • Proficient in Excel and other spreadsheet applications
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey information effectively

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting, finance, and tax
  • CPA certification
  • Experience in:
    • Preparation of financial statements for various legal entities
    • General ledger operations and month-end/year-end closing
    • Preparation and review of partnership and payroll tax submissions
    • Administration of various accounting software
    • Experience with professional service firms is preferred
