Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Escrow Officer to join our team at Lennar Title. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing all documents associated with the processing and closing of escrow, conveyance of title, recording of documents, clearing of title requirements, and issuance of title insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review escrow documents, including instructions and supporting documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with title examiners and underwriters to address attorney objection letters and resolve any issues that may arise during the escrow process.
  • Coordinate daily responsibilities with the Branch or Escrow Manager to ensure seamless execution of escrow transactions.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective marketing and customer service techniques.
  • Estimate the amount of money required to close escrow and obtain buyers' and sellers' deposits.
  • Review commitment and/or preliminary title reports to verify vesting and legal description.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between instructions and title reports with title officers and/or principals.
  • Order beneficiary statements or demands, fire insurance, loan interest, rents, and other prorated items.
  • Direct and participate in the preparation of settlement sheets.
  • Train, supervise, guide, and assign work to other associates in the office.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information and escrow transactions.
  • Understand and comply with escrow accounting procedures and Good Funds Law.
  • Solicit business in-person, development functions, or activities, or virtually.
  • Prepare Account Servicing Setups, if applicable.
  • Know the Rate Manual and quote accurate fees.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of Commercial Escrow Officer experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Notary license is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
Physical and Office/Site Presence Requirements

Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

Compensation and Benefits

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $30.42 - $48, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations.
