About the Role

As a Principal Consultant at Computacenter, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative technology solutions to our esteemed clients. This involves collaborating with business leaders to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in F5 Load Balancing will be instrumental in helping our clients navigate the complexities of digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with clients to understand their technology needs and develop tailored solutions.
  2. Analyze existing infrastructure and design migration plans to F5 BIG-IP.
  3. Configure F5 BIG-IP load balancing, SSL offloading, and application security features.
  4. Migrate applications and services with minimal disruption.
  5. Optimize F5 configurations for performance and security.
  6. Develop automation scripts to streamline migration and ongoing management.
  7. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
  8. Collaborate with application teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  9. Act as a technical lead in technology solutions by mentoring other Engineers, leading larger projects, reviewing deliverables, and presenting technology topics.
  10. Recommend new technologies, best practices, and tools to support business growth.
  11. Assess customer environments and make design and solution recommendations.
  12. Act as liaison between Pre-Sales and Delivery teams.
  13. Provide design, deployment, and implementation services of single or multi-vendor solutions.
  14. Handle issues escalated by Consultants and Lead Consultants.
  15. Troubleshoot multi-vendor issues.
  16. Lead Project teams.
  17. Stay current with vendor offerings and technology.
  18. Meet customer IT needs.
  19. Achieve utilization targets.
  20. Embody Computacenter's mission and core values.

Requirements

  1. 15+ years of professional experience in large enterprise environments.
  2. Professional networking certifications are a plus.
  3. F5 Certified LTM Specialist Certification Preferred.
  4. F5 Certified DNS Specialist Certification Preferred.
  5. Deployment experience with one or more: F5, Citrix, Cisco.
  6. Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  7. Subject matter expert within your focused technology stack.
  8. Ability to design complex multi-technology solutions.
  9. Ability to design complex technical solutions and provide input into bid, project, and technical documents.
  10. Broad knowledge of the business benefits that technical solutions can provide.
  11. Ability to lead and organize a large virtual technical team, with good negotiation skills and people management skills.
  12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  13. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting.
  14. Strong working experience with designing/configuring/troubleshooting F5 Application Delivery Systems, specifically LTM, DNS, BIG-IQ.
  15. Experience with iRules.
  16. Experience with Citrix ADC Load Balancers preferred.
  17. Experience with Linux and shell scripting (bash/zsh/sh).
  18. Experience with network troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump or Wireshark.
  19. Deep knowledge of load balancers, web servers, caching, and web-enabled applications and their associated protocols, e.g., HTTP, TLS, SSL, TCP/IP.
  20. DNS.
  21. Routing.
  22. Demonstrated confidence in delivering customer-facing discussions.
