Network Design Expert

About the Role

As a Computacenter Network Design Expert, you will play a key role in providing innovative technology solutions for our clients. This involves collaborating with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and align with our Winning Together values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and align with our Winning Together values.
  • Acting as a technical lead in technology solutions by mentoring other engineers, leading a team of resources on larger projects, reviewing deliverables, and acting as a point of escalation.
  • Presenting technology topics at internal education sessions, industry user group meetings, and conferences.
  • Recommending new technologies, best practices, and tools that support business growth.
  • Assessing customer environments and making design and solution recommendations.
  • Acting as a liaison between Pre-Sales and Delivery teams.
  • Providing design, deployment, and implementation services for single or multi-vendor solutions.
  • Handling issues escalated by consultants and lead consultants.
  • Troubleshooting multi-vendor issues.
  • Leading project teams.
  • Staying current with vendor offerings and technology.
  • Being available to meet customer IT needs.
  • Achieving utilization targets.
  • Embracing and supporting Computacenter's mission and core values.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in large enterprise environments.
  • Professional networking certifications a plus.
  • Deployment experience with one or more of the following: Cisco, Arista, Juniper.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Subject matter expertise within your focused technology stack.
  • Ability to design complex multi-technology solutions.
  • Ability to design complex technical solutions and provide input into bid, project, and technical documents.
  • Broad knowledge of the business benefits that technical solutions can provide.
  • Ability to lead and organize a large virtual technical team, with good negotiation skills and people management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple wireless vendor designs and deployments.
  • Demonstrated confidence to deliver customer-facing discussions.
