Nurse Specialist

We are actively seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Interventional Radiology department at our hospital in Spartanburg, SC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures.
With a strong understanding of radiologic and imaging procedures and safety protocols, including the use of contrast media, you will be responsible for administering and monitoring intravenous contrast agents, ensuring that any allergic reactions or complications are promptly addressed.
You will also be expected to assist radiologists and other medical professionals during diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional radiology procedures, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.

- Administer and monitor intravenous contrast agents, ensuring that any allergic reactions or complications are promptly addressed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of radiologic tests and contrast agents
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
- Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in radiology, ICU, or a high-acuity clinical setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Strong understanding of radiologic and imaging procedures and safety protocols, including the use of contrast media
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems

The salary range for this position is $62,400 to $91,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
