Histology Technician

The Histology Technician is a vital member of our laboratory team, responsible for the daily operations of the histology department. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Process and prepare tissue samples for histopathological examination
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes and tissue processors
- Assist pathologists with bone marrow aspirations and other procedures
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; background in science preferred
- Laboratory experience required; histology experience preferred
- HT (Histotechnician) Certification or HTL (Histotechnologist) Certification preferred
The Histology Technician will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals and biological materials. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
