Process Engineer

TENTH MOUNTAIN LLC is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and leading our facilities, maintenance services, and engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document new methods, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor key metrics to identify trends and deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
- Plan and coordinate the work of skilled staff to achieve operations uptime and project management goals.
- Lead and direct staff in a cross-functional environment to achieve goals, and responsible for recruitment, evaluation, and development of staff in assigned departments.
- Manage project progress, collaborate with project engineers, and ensure reporting mechanisms are in place to track development within budget and time constraints.
- Work with the CEO and management to establish and achieve short and long-term operating goals.
- Support and implement lean practices throughout the facility to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure assigned areas meet their metrics and departmental objectives, and monitor work processes to ensure operators are trained and follow procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT and the new warehouse in a cross-functional environment to achieve common goals.
- Travel up to three weeks per month, with 40% travel to Connecticut, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership ability to achieve results through others, with strong team-building and proactive skills.
- Ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Experience in automation and implementing new methods in a new manufacturing site, with structured problem analysis skills.
- Proven experience in capital project management, with knowledge of OSHA, DEP, and NFPA guidelines and plant safety requirements.
- Strong verbal, written, technical, conceptual, and financial skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills in a collaborative environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tools like Gantt, PERT, and CPM charts.
- Understanding of manufacturing maintenance operations, familiarity with lean manufacturing methods, and good planning and scheduling capabilities.
- Strong drive to complete programs timely, with knowledge of CAD, CAE, CAM engineering tools, and Great Plains software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; a master's degree is a plus.
- Five years of experience in increasingly complex, technical supervisory positions.
