Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Psychologist to join our Autism Center team at Seattle Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems.
  • Collaborate with the service line director to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex needs.
  • Supervise practicum students, psychology and psychiatry residents, and program staff to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Participate in continuous performance improvement, quality improvement, and education and research efforts to enhance patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with interdisciplinary team members, including psychologists, mental health therapists, BCBA/BCaBAs, oral-motor therapists, dieticians, and medical personnel.
Requirements
  • PhD, PsyD, or Ed.D. in psychology, with specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program.
  • Completion of an APA-approved internship.
  • Formal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Post-doctoral level experience in pediatric psychology.
  • Experience in a pediatric medical setting.
  • Clinical supervision experience.
  • Minority Mental Health Specialist designation.
  • Experience with multi-system involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with the King County MHP and Washington State Mental Health WACs.
