Position Overview:

Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our Pediatric Feeding Program within the Autism Center. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health interventions to children, adolescents, and families facing significant developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges, aiming for enhancements in overall functioning across various life aspects.
  • Oversee the clinical operations of the Pediatric Feeding Program (PFP), ensuring the development and implementation of clinical orientation, ongoing competency assessments, clinical standards, and professional growth opportunities for the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with the service line director to recruit and onboard interdisciplinary team members, including Psychologists, Mental Health Therapists, Behavior Analysts, oral-motor therapists, Dieticians, and Medical personnel.
  • Act as a representative of the Pediatric Feeding Program to the leadership team, guiding the interdisciplinary team's clinical practices.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous quality improvement, performance enhancement, and educational research within the Pediatric Feeding Program.
  • Supervise practicum students, psychology and psychiatry residents, and program staff, while providing consultation to various departments on program development and individual case planning.
  • Assume primary responsibility for the clinical management of patients referred to the Pediatric Feeding Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD, PsyD, or Ed.D. in psychology, specializing in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-approved internship.
  • Formal post-doctoral training in a relevant specialization.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience post-licensure.
  • Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-doctoral experience in pediatric psychology.
  • Experience in a pediatric healthcare environment.
  • Clinical supervision experience.
  • Designation as a Minority Mental Health Specialist.
  • Experience with children facing severe behavioral issues and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with Washington State Mental Health regulations.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive intake evaluations with multi-axial diagnoses.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Experience in inpatient or day treatment settings focusing on pediatric feeding disorders.
  • Nationally Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral Level.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $111,921 - $176,283 annually, based on full-time employment (2080 hours per year). Offers are influenced by factors such as equity, skills, experience, and expertise.
